Raising Disciples
John 1:35-37
“Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples; and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.”
I read these verses one morning and it suddenly struck me…THIS is motherhood! It’s all of parenting, really…
The constant, daily pointing to Jesus until one day, they follow HIM instead of us. That’s the goal, isn’t it? Not to raise miniatures of ourselves or peons to carry out OUR dreams, but to raise sold-out, all-in disciples of Jesus.
It’s easy to let the end goal get lost in the daily mundane. But motherhood, while it consists of diapers and homework and cleaning and cooking, it’s not defined by those things. It’s defined by the institution God created it to be: the passing down of the knowledge of the Holy, Almighty God to the next generation. 🙌🏼
This shirt embodies the heart behind this company. My heart is to come alongside other Mamas as we all strive to raise passionate Jesus-followers and to create products that remind us of our purpose and encourage us along the journey.
